Susan Zulauf
Growing up in Eden, New York, Susan has been creating art since second grade.Using a graphic approach, traditional themes, experimental techniques, and tone-on-tone color and learning from errors, Susan’s style can vary from fun and funky to traditional with just a splash of something unusual. The media used to create her wonderful art includes acrylics, dyes, pastels, gessoed textures, collage materials, handmade paper, ribbons, 3-D accents and glitter.
As if art weren’t enough to keep her busy, Susan volunteers for many fundraising activities at her children’s school and mentoring art students.Weightlifting, cardiovascular workouts, gardening and nightly dinner with her family keep Susan grounded and energized.
Susan lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey, with John, her husband and business manager. Her artistic talent has been inherited by their nine-year-old daughter, who loves oil painting and pottery; their sixteen-year-old triplet sons, all art majors; and youngest son, who is Susan’s studio assistant.
